WHO IS SCALE FACTOR MEDIA?
Who Am I & Why I'm So Passionate About Your Growth!
Hi! π
My Name is Tina, I live in a tiny town called Wyoming (like the state) in Minnesota.... I’m the Mom and Nana in a big blended family (six kids and 3 grandkids so far). We have a couple of dogs and a couple of cats, and one goldfish named Frank. I worked in a few clinics as a Certified Medical Assistant for over 10 years, managing a family practice lab for a few of those and working for providers, rooming patients, giving vaccines, drawing blood, running lab tests, and doing X-rays for the rest. (Yes, CMAs did shots, labs, and X-rays in the early 2000s)
In 2022, I was rear-ended by a semitruck (no one was hurt), which may have been the scariest thing to ever happen to me in my life (I was a terrible driver, so for the sake of my life and all the other lives on the road, I decided that was my cue to stop driving). Luckily, I found a remote CMA job that I really loved. This company was a white-label
telehealth startup that assisted other
telehealth startups with various business functions, enabling them to
scale into full-fledged healthcare companies. They offered services like staffing and licensing providers, a white-label EMR, partnerships with multiple compound pharmacies, a CRM, billing and coding, patient support teams, and a call center, among other services. The one thing they didn’t offer was
marketing; marketing was on the partner company, which, I get it, it’s their brand they should be responsible for
advertising it. But my first few questions in every new partner meeting we had were: “What does their
marketing look like?” “Do they have patients yet?” and “How do they plan on getting patients?” If there wasn’t a solid answer about their
marketing strategy, I knew I didn’t need to allocate many resources to their go-live. I was promoted 3 times in 3 years and was a Sr Manager of Support Operations when I was laid off in early March 2025 due to the company reorganizing or going in another direction, something to that effect (I cried through the whole HR meeting when I was let go, so the details are fuzzy). I was devastated! Heart Broken!
Well, throughout my time as a CMA in
clinic and working in operations, I learned 2 things:
1. The US healthcare system could be better.
It treats patients for their symptoms after they are already sick, and they don’t do a whole lot of prevention education or
holistic care or even heal the root cause, let alone consider the mind and spirit while treating the body, as for teaching sustainable lifestyle changes that prevent illness in the first place, *cough look at Americas chronic disease statistics..... enough said! Providers don't get enough time with a patient to actually do any education, appointments are every 15 mins! π And because of this, patients and providers are frustrated!
2. If you don’t have a solid marketing strategy, you will struggle to grow or scale past a certain point.
When you struggle in the early years, it can cause multiple ripple effects in your practice. From credit and reliability to business relationships and even employee satisfaction and trust. Not to mention reputation and how it affects you personally. A struggling practice is stressful!!
I spent some time reflecting after submitting my resume to 83,471 (it felt like that many anyway) open positions. That's when it clicked!
If you can’t tell by now, I’m a caretaker by nature, and serving others is what I enjoy. It’s what makes me feel good and accomplished at the end of my day! I tried to look for another remote position, but wasn’t having much luck, so I had a choice to make, and believe me when I say I tried MANY different remote, independent, money-making ventures. I watched every YouTube video ever made for the sake of building a stable income online, but what they all lacked was the fact that I wasn’t serving; I didn’t feel good or accomplished at the end of the day, so what else could I do? Outside of getting a 6-year master’s in social work, (if I could turn back time) I decided I wanted to help
medical practices that don’t walk the mainstream walk, ones that truly care to heal the patient and treat the root cause, providers that teach prevention that take the time needed to educate patients and answer all of their questions. And I wanted to help them see how successful they could be with a
solid marketing plan because if they can grow, if they can reach more people and teach them how to lead healthier lives, then the world would be a healthier place for my kids and my kids’ kids..... Now that, I thought, would be the best thing I could leave to my families and your families’ future generations.
All of this is the reason your
ROI
with me is so substantial!! I wholeheartedly believe in what I'm doing and that I'm serving providers and their practices by helping them grow, I'm serving the communities they're a part of by helping them be
successful and spread the word about their services through
advertising and
organic SEO growth, so those communities are healthier and economically stable.
